David Austin ‘Mary Delany’ Pink Climbing Rose 6Ltr Pot

David Austin ‘Mary Delany’ is a delicately beautiful and rather unusual climbing rose, producing pretty pointed buds that open into medium-sized, loosely double light pink flowers. These elegant blooms are held in large, open sprays over a long season, gradually revealing golden stamens as they mature. The flowers are supported by slender dark stems, complemented by relatively small, dark green leaves. Almost thornless and remarkably healthy, this variety carries a light-medium Old Rose fragrance with subtle hints of fruit. The right to name this rose was auctioned on behalf of The National Trust.

For almost 60 years, David Austin Roses have been grown on their family farm in Shropshire. Much of the process is still carried out by hand, with every David Austin rose having been hand-budded, a traditional and intricate skill, and grown in dedicated rose fields in England, keeping English roses truly English.
