Vinca ‘Bowles Variety’ is a fantastic groundcover plant that has mid-green gloss leaves. It produces small lavender blue flowers in spring that are rather delightful. Periwinkle was used by the Romans to make ceremonial wreaths and criminals were decorated with garlands of vinca for the pre-execution procession.
