Victoria is an immensely popular type of plum that is grown and enjoyed worldwide. This plum variety yields abundant crops of sizable, oval-shaped bright red fruits that are speckled with deeper red dots and coated in a light blue bloom. The flesh of Victoria plums is a deep yellow shade with occasional reddish streaks, and it is somewhat juicy and sweet, with a decent flavor. These plums are best enjoyed fresh when they are fully ripe, right off the tree, but they are also suitable for making jams, desserts, and for canning and bottling purposes. The stone is easily separated from the flesh, making it a freestone type. While susceptible to certain diseases, the high-quality and quantity of fruit produced by Victoria plums make them worth growing despite this potential issue. A
